Phil Valentine

“Public Speaking isn’t hard to do. It’s just hard to do in public!”

Phil Valentine has been in the performance business for over thirty years, beginning as an actor in New York. He has performed in movies, plays, and commercials worldwide.

Phil became a writer, producer and director when he produced “The Richard’s Riddle,” a successful murder mystery dinner theater show, which has been performed in New York, Boston, Houston, Dallas and Las Vegas and is still running after 25 years!

His successful productions earned him a position with Phillip Morris Inc. as one of the creative consultants and operations managers for the largest consumer promotion in American history, the Marlboro Adventure Team.

Writing & Directing for Worldwide Companies

From there Phil began writing and directing live shows worldwide for companies like: Walt Disney Entertainment, Orlando, FL, Universal Studios, Hollywood, CA, Ice Capades, Phoenix, AZ, Six Flags Parks, Vallejo, CA, Madame Tussauds, Las Vegas, NV, Spaceworld, and Japan.

Phil then became a Casting Director in Las Vegas, casting movies and national commercials for companies like McDonalds, Burger King, The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (“What Happens Here Stays Here” campaign), Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), Lana Del Ray, GoDaddy and many others. Phil wrote the Fox Family Channel Original movie “Ice Angel.”

Since then Phil has written numerous ice shows for companies like Dorothy Hamill’s Ice Capades (Cinderella on Ice) and Nancy Kerrigan Productions (Halloween on Ice).

Performance Coaching

It was then that Phil began teaching competitive figure skaters, who would “choke” during competition, to overcome their nervousness; a technique he developed for himself as an actor. This led to his performance technique geared to people outside the entertainment industry.

His seminars are believed to be among the most intensive and original seminars on performing today. The seminar has been used by corporations to train lawyers, salesmen, entrepreneurs and public speakers nationwide.

Marketing guru Beejal Parmar, after seeing Phil Valentine at a Toastmasters seminar, approached him and said...

I don’t know anyone who teaches what you teach and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t need it!

He became a published author with his book, “Why Can’t You Tickle Yourself?” based on his seminars. Phil has been an actor, writer, producer, author and teacher. His career on all sides of the entertainment and corporate fence has made him one of the most sought after performance coaches in the business!
